John Wood
Chairman, CEO
John H. WoodSince Sally Industries' inception, John Wood has been a key member of the company's management team and a founding member of the board of directors.

Wood is a graduate of Wake Forest University and has been instrumental in the company's sales and market growth as well as development of the company's product lines.

For more than 30 years Wood has been a recognized leader in the industry. He has long been a director of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, Themed Entertainment Assn. (TEA), a governor of the prestigious Applause Award and a member of the International Association of Fairs and Exhibitions. Currently he serves on the IAAPA Service Award Committee and as a member of the TEA International Board.

Wood is also a director and past president of the Greater Jacksonville Fair Association and is active in the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of TEC - The Executive Committee.

Wood was elected chairman of the Sally board in 1989 and CEO in 1996.

Board of Directors
Sally Industries' board of directors is composed of leading businessmen from the region. In addition to Chairman Wood, the board also consists of  William Coleman, Vice President of Finance, and four independent directors: retired Sally President, Howard Kelley, president of Aspergantis LLC, Ronald Foster, president of The Stellar Group; Clarence Houston, attorney; and Robert Masterson, past chairman of Ripley's Entertainment, Inc.

Senior Management

William Coleman
Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer

"Bill" Coleman is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He began his career at Sally Industries as controller and was quickly promoted to vice president of finance. He is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the company in addition to corporate long-term planning.

Coleman came to the company following a long stint as vice-president and controller for Dicky Smith & Company, a regional general contractor. His experience includes a number of years in public accounting as well as commercial financial operations.


Todd Gillrup

Vice President, Operations
A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Todd Gillrup brought his academic training in industrial design technology directly to the Sally production department. While at the Institute he focused on special effects technologies. Gillrup began his career as a staff artist at Sally in 1992. He worked his way through the supervisory and management levels of production operations since that time.
         

Along the way, Gillrup's research and experimentation contributed to a new level of knowledge in artistic figure finishing and enhanced the company's reputation for high quality realism. Today, he manages the company's production and fabrication operations.

Drew Hunter
Vice President, Design

With an award-winning background in art, theater, and music, Hunter leads Sally’s full-service design department in the creation of characters and story. He oversees a team of designers, sculptors, scenic and finish artists.

Hunter is a fine arts graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana with post-graduate studies in Rome. He has worked as a show designer, muralist, scenic artist, illustrator, fine arts painter, playwright, and actor. His experience includes: designer for Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museums, wax museum creative director, president of Vorta, Inc. and even television’s Bozo the Clown
. Hunter is a founding member of the International Association of Haunted Attractions.

Hunter came to Sally as a specialist designer in haunted attractions and was promoted in 2001 to department director.

Donna Gentry
Vice President, Project Management
Donna Gentry, who graduated summa cum laude from La Grange College in Georgia, also holds an MBA, with honors, from the University of North Florida.

Gentry came to Sally in 1983 as a member of the art department. Since then she has held a succession of supervisory positions with the company. As internal project manager, she has been responsible for coordinating many dark ride and animatronics projects. Gentry works directly with subcontractors, architects and engineers, also handling internal production coordination. She is a member of the Project Management Institute,

Ray DomineyRay Dominey
Vice President, Technical Services

Ray Dominey's 21 years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force provided him with extensive knowledge of digital electronics. He began his Sally career in the electronics department in 1994 and moved through supervisory posit- ions to technical director. He plays a major role in the design and production of our interactive and digital control  systems.

Dominey provides technical information to clients, and advises design and production personnel on technical and safety  issues. He manages subcontractors, outside engineers and manufacturers to coordinate production of ride systems to meet client specifications and safety requirements. He is a member of ASTM Committee F24 on Amusement Rides and Devices.

Jan Sherman
Assistant Vice President, Creative Services
Jan Sherman has played a major role in Sally's show design and creative production  since 1981. Her award-winning work for Sally can be seen in dark ride and theater productions in the United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Belgium, Spain, and Indonesia as well as throughout North and South America.

Sherman provides script writing, sound track production and project supervision for many of Sally's projects. Her extensive entertainment background includes radio, theater and television experience in both the United States and the U.K. as an actress, writer and director-producer.

In addition to her show production roles, Sherman also oversees Sally's advertising, public and media relations, marketing materials and video production.
